This bumper biology pack is made up of 9 different worksheets which cover a large swath of the biology curriculum. Please see each individual worksheet for further details. Thank you.
In this worksheet children can read and learn about our teeth, label a diagram with the four types of teeth; incisors, canines, premolars and molars and fill in the blanks in a text about how teeth change as we grow.
The descriptions given about each type of tooth should enable children to look at the structure of teeth in the diagram and label them correctly.
For the second part, a fill in the blank exercise, the children should be able to fill it in based on its context.
This worksheet is suitable both for online (as a doc in Google Classroom) and offline (as a printout).
I hope you also find it useful. If you do, please leave a review!
This worksheet is made up of a short explanation text about the different diets in animals and humans and then a table containing three different animal skulls. Children should read the text and then looking at the skulls, suggest what animal they came from, what diet they think they might have and reasons why they think that.
The skulls are a cat skull, a giraffe skull and a gorilla skull. For reasoning, the children should try and relate the structure of the teeth to their function. For example, I think the cat is a carnivore because it has lots of sharp teeth so it can tear, shred and rip meat off the bone.
A nice warm-up or follow-up activity to this is to present a variety of other animal skull pictures and see if children can guess what animal they come from.
A crossword puzzle for reviewing the process of the water cycle. It’s A3 size so it’s great for pairs or small groups to work together on. You could always print as A4 if needs be though. Available as both an editable DOC and PDF.
There are 28 question in total. Here are a few examples of the clues inside:
A large body of fresh water.
When water flows off a surface.
Water as a solid.

I see how far the children are able to get through it before letting them use their books to help out.
Fun crossword all about the planets in our solar system. Here are some examples of the clues…
Has an extensive ring system.
Known as the Red Planet
Furthest planet away from the sun
The 7th Planet away from the sun
The star that our planets orbit
The crossword is a large size so works well for small groups of 2-4 children. The answers are included on the second page.
The children really enjoy doing this and can get quite competitive trying to complete it before other groups. I hope you enjoy it to. Please leave a review if you have a moment. Thank you.
This worksheet is made up of 2 parts. The first involves filling in the missing information for the table about the 8 planets in our solar system. Children will need to research and find the information using books and/or the internet. Please see the preview for further information about the groups of information required.
The second part is a true or false activity with statements that directly relate to the information in the table.
This is quite an extensive activity and children will need plenty of time to collate their research and fill it in correctly. It works well as a small group activity (2-3 children). All the answers are included on the second page.
I hope you enjoy this resource! If you have a moment, please leave a review. Thank you.

This worksheet has a diagram showing four common electrical symbols and their pictures - battery/cell, lamp, cables/wires and a switch. The children have to draw an electrical circuit for a light with a switch. The second part of the worksheet is a fill in the blanks activity in which children use the words from the box to complete the paragraph about the circuit.
This worksheet serves as a good introduction or reinforcement for children who are just starting to learn about electrical circuits and the symbols used to draw them.
This worksheet is comprised of a table for children to fill in information about the three states of matter - solids, liquids and gases.
The first row is for the names of each. The second row has a beaker outline for children to draw the arrangement of atoms or molecules for that particular state of matter. The third row is to describe in writing the basic properties of each state of matter and the final row is for examples of each.
I use this worksheet in class to reinforce information about the states of matter. The diagrams are usually copied from the board or at least a diagram from the internet. For the rest of the content, I see how much the children can fill in independently before presenting the full set of information needed to complete the worksheet.
Using the children as actual atoms is a fun addition to help explain the properties of each state of matter. For example, a group of children can stand in an orderly grid, shaking (vibrating) on the spot. Another child can act as a heat source and when they get near, the atoms start to vibrate faster before breaking off and then moving around, but only within the carpeted area. This can then continue through to gases and then reversed. It’s also a great way to introduce the names for the changes in state, which could also be added onto the worksheet with arrows showing the direction of change for evaporation, condensation, freezing and melting.
This worksheet comprises a table of the seven nutrients with columns for their uses and example sources. Each section of the table has blanks for the children to fill in.
The words for the blanks are provided in the table at the beginning. Each nutrient also has a few missing letters to fill in.
I use this worksheet to reinforce the names, uses and sources of each of the seven nutrients needed in a healthy balanced diet. There are also posters with information on the classroom walls which they can refer to if they need.
The document is fully editable so you can differentiate or make any other changes where you please.
A3 crossword puzzle that reviews different aspects about the topic of light, including light properties, light sources, reflection, shadows etc.
Over 25 questions included as well as light related symbols as decoration.
Great for pairs to work on as a review of the unit. I usually see how far the children can get without the help of any reference, before letting them use the books or wall displays to help complete it.
*The included files are an editable Word Document (in which you can edit the wording of the questions if needs be) and the same document in PDF format. *
This worksheet is a full scientific write-up of a conduction experiment which tests the electrical conduction of different classroom materials.
Each part of the scientific method is explained and some parts are partially complete so the children have to fill in the rest.
To complete the experiment and write-up, they will need a simple circuit - battery, wires and some sort of small appliance such as a bulb, buzzer or motor.
Encourage some creative material choices as they perform the experiment and make sure they write down what material it is made from, for example a metal ruler.
Water and water with salt dissolved in it are both interesting substances to hypothesise about and test for conductivity.
*The files included in this download are a fully editable DOC and a PDF version of the same. *
